A strong leadership expertise of over 35 years, heading key organizations and departments across various sectors while encouraging governance and policy reform initiatives both at the Government of India and State levels. He was Secretary to the Government of India in the Department of Heavy Industry, Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises. The department under his administration also directed 31 Central Public Sector Enterprises (independent companies) and 4 Autonomous Organizations and frames policy guidelines for them. With having a global perspective and techno-commercial strategic approach for decision-making, he has a determined aptitude for businesses and industry building. He has served in different roles in distinct geographies and triumphantly managed both social and cultural diversities. His experience across various sectors has broadened his outlook to have an innovative and out-of-the-box approach. He has spearheaded numerous drives based on his knowledge and considering that the Government has to operate a treasured and supportive role as a facilitator for the growth of all.
